Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club announces that the June Quarterly Membership Meeting/Breakfast will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at the Home Town Buffet, northwest corner of Warner and Evergreen in Chandler, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Members have the option of riding to the breakfast with the Saturday Cycling group or meeting us at the restaurant for the meeting at 8:30 am. Breakfast is free for all PMBC members.

Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club, along with all cyclists in the valley, have been invited to an open house (kinda like "Bicycle Show and Tell") at the new metro light rail facility just a few miles from our Tempe Saturday Cycling start point. Next Saturday, March 29th, after our morning ride, join us there at noon. Location is 605 S. 48th Street. From Washington, go south on 48th St, turn left into the facility. Tell the guard you are there for the Open House for Bicyclists. The plan is to film the use of the light rail vehicles by cyclists, including loading and unloading bikes on the internal racks. This is an early chance for us to see and touch our new way of getting around the valley that was built to carry people, including cyclists. There is also a rumor that there may be free refreshments at this event, which is a reason for us to go anywhere.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - 2008 JERSEY ORDERS

PMBC will have order forms at our upcoming general membership/breakfast meeting on March 15 for our new jersey. Don't worry about guessing your size; we will have "samples" available to ensure the perfect fit! Our ever popular PMBC socks will also be available for $5 per pair.

The short sleeve jersey price will be $60 if you order and pay prior to the end of March. After that date, the price will be $65. The Manufacturer is Primal Wear. We hope to have them in approximately 10-12 weeks.

The design is an update of our current jersey, yet keeps the tradition and our colors. The new logo (our first!) has been added and our web address has been updated. In addition, GABA (which is now only officially/legally associated with our friends in Tucson) has been removed from the jerseys. Since we are members of the League of American Bicyclist's (LAB) and the Coalition of Arizona Bicyclist's (CAzB) their logos have been updated on the shoulders. Everyone who has seen the design has liked it. I am confident that once you see it, you will definitely want one to proudly wear.

We would also like to offer other popular items, however certain minimums must be met to make it feasible. These will be done to match the jersey and will give you a complete "kit." We have to order 12 of each. So if you want one, please bring a check with your completed order form to the next ride, the breakfast or mail it to us. The additional items are:

• Long Sleeve jersey ($70 / $80)
• Wind vest ($65 / $75)
• Shorts ($65 / $75) or Bibs ($75 / $85). These are 8 panels, high quality and will be available with a women's chamois if requested. It is very important that you specify BIBS or shorts when ordering. Women's comes only in shorts.
• Arm Warmers ( $25 / $30)

Bring your check book (or cash) and the completed form. If you would like the items shipped to you, add a measly $5 and you won't even have to worry about picking it up.
