The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring Silent Sunday, which will close the park's main Central Avenue-access roads to motor vehicles from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The park roads will be reserved for the entire day for all non-motorized recreational activities! Proceeds from the race to benefit the St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance of Flagstaff. Race in the cool forests of Flagstaff on a course consisting of singletrack and dirt roads. Billed as America's largest perimeter cycling event, El Tour de Tucson draws thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities not only from around Arizona, but from around the world.
